Privacy Policy

Last updated 17/09/2026

Working draft. This policy is pending review by the operator's legal adviser and will be replaced before public launch. It describes the data the service actually handles today.

1. Scope

This policy covers the Atomic Dojo website and mobile app, and is written to meet the Australian Privacy Principles.

2. What we collect

  • Account details - your name, email address, password (stored hashed) and profile picture if you upload one.
  • Membership status - your plan, subscription state and renewal dates.
  • Usage - which videos you watch and where you stopped, so the app can resume and track course progress.
  • Community activity - the messages you post and any moderation action taken on your account.
  • Technical data - IP address, device and browser information, and error reports.

3. Payment information

Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. We keep a customer reference, your subscription state, and the last four digits and expiry supplied by Stripe.

4. Why we use it

To run your account and membership, deliver and resume video, operate and moderate the community, process payments, provide support, keep the service secure, and meet our legal obligations. We also keep internal usage records so we can understand how the service is used and improve it.

5. Who we share it with

Only service providers who help us operate: Stripe for payments, Amazon Web Services for hosting and video delivery, our email provider for account emails, and Sentry for error reporting. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use advertising identifiers or third-party advertising trackers.

6. Where it is held

Data is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider and may be processed overseas by the providers listed above. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. How long we keep it

Account and membership records are kept for as long as your account exists and then for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and legal purposes. Usage records are kept for a limited window and then reduced to aggregate figures that no longer identify you.

8. Your choices

You can view and update your profile in the app, change your password, and cancel your membership from your account page. To request a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to delete your account, email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, video is served through signed private URLs, and administrative access is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you if a breach affects you as required by law.

10. Children

The service is not intended for children under 13. If a parent or guardian sets up an account for a minor, they are responsible for supervising its use.

11. Contact and complaints

Privacy questions or complaints: privacy@atomicdojo.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
